I too will be interested in how well they hold up here in the heat. I am not here in summer so I plan on leaving my pack in my air conditioned house so it should never see high temps. I also plan on leaving it at the optimum storage charge over the summer. I hope to get at least 7-10 years out of this pack but time will tell since I have only had it since January. Nissan had big problems with the early Leafs here in Arizona. They made some changes to the batteries to reduce the heat problem. Also, the car is much harder on the batteries than my golf cart is.
I think Lithium is the future power source for golf carts but it will take time to get the cost down to where most folks would consider it. For now it will only be those of us that don't mind the cost and want the performance and weight savings that will invest in this technology. |
