G29 Ignition Wire??
I feel like I'm being dense, but where on the G29 can I find a wire that only shows voltage when the cart is on (to turn my 48v to 12v converter relay).
I tried testing both the wires coming out of the ignition switch itself and both red 36v when turned to "on" and "16v" at off. Where can I find this wire? Also, can I find it in the battery compartment so I dont have to run a line all the way from ignition area? http://www.cunninghamgolfcar.com/ima...aha%20YDRE.pdf |

Re: G29 Ignition Wire??
many Ydre had a plug under the cupholders for a energy meter (its usually sealed up inside heatshrink with red tape, 3 wires). one is "B+ always hot", one "B-", one "B+ switched".

Finally got around to checking and I don't have this pre wired. I checked all three wires on the fwd/reverse, both in ignition switch, and nothing is giving voltage at the right time to power my relay. Considering a manual switch but really don't want to do that. Must be a way!

yes it is, shave off enough insulation on both wires so you can get your pos probe on the exposed wire, and as you said, keep the negative probe on the main battery negative. the right wire should start at zero volts, until you turn the key on and you should see pack voltage. thats the wire you want. steve |

I did it again last night and my multimeter was showing 8v when off and 48on. Might just be a glitchy multimeter. I hooked up to lower voltage wire and it's working as expected (relay off when ignition is off) .
