Default Correct way to wire in switch for voltage reducer

So I swear I saw a thread about wiring in a switch or relay to switch off power to the converter. But of course now I can't find it.

Does someone have a parts list or diagram for safely wiring in a 4 wire reducer?

If your reducer does not have a trigger wire, is is not designed to be switched on and off. Wire per instructions.

Thanks, any suggestions on one with a built-in switch? Preferably a 20 amp.

You can add a switch to manually turn it on/off. Put it between pack + and reducer.

Haven't been able to find a suitable switch.

Anything heavy duty enough to handle the current. I use a shallow home receptacle box with a regular light switch. Some have laughed at it but it works fine.

Look under my threads for "36v - 12v reducer". You will see a photo of it.

I would post the link for you but I don't know how.

MC, when you have a thread link you want to post, just go to that thread and in the address bar at the top of the page "highlight" it all and then hit Ctrl + C to copy it (or right click in the highlighted bar and select Copy) and then when you go to the Reply post and click in the box, then hit Ctrl + P to paste (or right click in the box and select Paste) and 'Voila, you will have a hyperlink to the thread you want them to see...

If you have a particular post that you want to direct them too, go to that post and in the upper right hand corner of the post, right click on the post number and then select "Copy Link Location" then when you go to the Reply post and click in the box, just right click and select Paste and 'Voila, you will have a hyperlink to that individual post...

Gotcha covered like a glove brotha....
