Default Precedent carts

Anything I should look out for or be aware of with 2007 or 2010 Precedent 48 volt carts? Couldn't find anything on a quick search about problems with either of those years...batteries are 2017 and 2015 trojans.

Get the 2010. It has the newer style battery bucket and can use six 8 Volt batteries as opposed to 4 12 volt batteries. Much better system.

2010 like Tahoe said. MCOR is a possible concern.

A lot of people like to misstate the age of the batteries. Be sure you readup on how to tell the age of the batteries.

To determine the date of manufacture, refer to the date code on the negative terminal which consists of a letter and a number. The letter refers to the month and the number refers to the year. A2 = January 2012, B2 = February 2012 and C2 = March 2012 etc.

It's all according to what you do with the cart. Everybody has different "needs" for their range of their cart. I'd be fine with 4 12's myself. I don't even own a golf cart. I build one every year for deer season in October and sell it in January. I need it to run half a mile at most to the deer stand and a half a mile back. Twice a day. So 2 miles total. Plus maybe a mile or so for checking trail cameras once a weekend. I don't even take a charger to the hunting club with me. But the 6x8V setup will keep you from replacing batteries as often regardless of what kind of range you need.

Awesome info thanks! Went with the 2010 with 2015 batteries, 6x8 set up. Looking forward to upgrading rims/tires, adding on a voltage reducer and battery meter.
