Smile O4 g22e what batteries to buy

Just bought. 04 yamaha g22e with a 6in lift 22in tires that needs batteries. It is a 48 volt cart with six 8volt batteries. I will eventually like to do performance mods. So my question is what will be a good buy for batteries that will work now and also later as I do performance mods. Thanks in advance. I'm very excited to learn all about carts

Trojan T-875 is always a strong choice, but not the cheapest one. If you buy the cheapest batteries, you get the cheapest batteries.

T-875 should be the baseline of your battery selection, and is what was originally equipped in most G22e.
There are lower capacity options like the Trojan DC8v, but avoid those.

T-890 is a step up from those, and Ranger 160 is the highest level in that size.

Here is a spec table. you are looking for batteries in the BCI size specification of "GC-8", and the 56a measurement. All 6v and 8v golf batteries are this size, and 56a is a measurement you should be able to compare across all brands (it is the default load all 48v golf packs are measured at).
