1998 Yamaha Electric 36V, "shake" Forward Reverse to find Power
Hi!
thanks, appreciate this forum. first time poster, so I'll be brief. I replaced the F/R switch housing. That seemed to fix the issue of "shaking" the forward or reverse position on the handle to find the power. But nope. so I tried to find answers and it seemed some folks replace the Solenoid and fixed that forward reverse issue. Nope. This cart is not show room quality, well, the outside looks nice and new but the insides look like last century. I noticed a frey on the red thick wire coming to the Solenoid, down low on drivers side, near bottom of batteries. Looks like maybe comes out of a controller box of some type in there? Any suggestions on what I can test. I am meter capable to some extent on testing continuity and other simple stuff. I guess I need to look for a cable update kit so I can just refresh all the old rusty (but at least insulated) cables. I did buy the service manual and have read several chapters, but not solved this yet. Thanks in advance. |
