1993 gas clubcar lights not working
All-
Im working on a 1993 gas clubcar tranquillity cart. The head lights, tail lights, brake lights are not working. I have power to the switch. Weird thing is all wires are hot switch on or off. The yellow wire is by itself and is always hot. The two other wires on the opposite terminal are also always hot?!? I checked the plug at the light socket and have 12.5 volts but no lights. I haven't changed the bulb yet. What is confusing me is the switch. At first i thought the switch was bad because i had continuity with the switch open or closed. When i took off all the wires and checked it again it tested good. Thats when i checked power to the wires and found all of them had the same voltage. What am i missing? Any help is appreciated and thanks for letting me join the forum. |

Re: 1993 gas clubcar lights not working
You're missing a ground somewhere.
Most cart light harnesses have a ground that runs back to the battery negative, so check around there for a loose wire. On a gas cart you can ground the lights to the frame, so if nothing else you can drill a hole and use a self tapping screw to run the individual ground wires from the lights to the frame. |
