Default Gas Club Car Light Install

Hey guys new to the forum.

Just bought a Gas Club Car, it's biege if that helps. (Don't know the year yet but going to check this weekend).
Just want to know how to hook up lights and what kind of lights i should use? LED or bulb?
Is it straight to the battery?
Can you tell me where i can buy a cheap set? Walmart, Canadiantire etc.?

Thanks for the help. I did a search but i couldn't find gas car light install.

The BEST way to wire lights is to use a switch and a relay. The relay controls the flow of electricity from the battery to the lights, the switch controls the relay.

What type of lights should i purchase? Can i get inexpensive Walmart lights for now?
We intend on purchasing club car lights however money is a littlle rough right now.

What type of lights should i stay away from? I heard LED lights are pretty good as they don't use too much power.

Thanks again for your help, belive me it is greatly appreciative.

I just noticed on the diagram...

"Hi Low Ign +12VDC"

What does that hook up to? Is that the battery or the ignition?

You could do it either way. If you hook it to the battery then you can run your lights without having the key on.....circuit to the switch would always be hot. If you run it off the "key on" side of your ignition switch then you would have to have the ignition on for the lights to work.

How much driving are you going to be doing at night?

A little $20 dollar set of fog lights should be enough.

If you look at this image you can see they just mounted the lights on the bumper in the front.

Thanks for the fast feedback. To be honest i really can't say how much driving at we will be doing because we just bought the cart last weekend and we kind drove all the time. I guess as time goes on it will be less and less driving.
My neighbour at the trailer park told me to stay away from fogs because it drained his battery quick. Yet Cindylynn mentioned in one of the threads that

"I use Wallmart special headlights and tail lights. Some people spend lots more and get lights that are hardly better. Mine cost about $10 per light at wallie's world. I give these lights a A+. "

I'm still trying to find out what special lights they are talking about.

thanks again
