Default G2 problem

I am new to the forum and I am already in need of some help. Currently I am trying to fix a G2 4 stroke that will not run. So far I have put on a new intake manifold spacer, new carb and also a see through fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carb. Last night I got it to run by putting a small amount of fuel in the cylinder and it ran at any RMP until the fuel ran out. When cranking the motor over there is not very much fuel being pumped through the filter. I have checked the in tank filter and it is not clogged. Sometimes I can get the motor to run at low rpms but when I try to increase the rpms it will stop running. To me it seems like I am not getting enough fuel. I am leaning towards the fuel pump or a hose issue. Is there anything that I might be missing?

Check the little hose running to the back of the engine to the fuel pump. It supplies and pulse of air to help feed the carb. or pump fuel from the fuel pump. Also, make sure your throttle cable is opening up all the way and that the air box is completely sealed.

Thanks. I checked the air box but I have not checked the line that goes to the back of the block. Can you see the line connection on the block when looking down from the top or do I need to go under the cart?

I just replaced the pulse line and then pulled the line off of the carb and cranked the motor over. There is barely any gas coming out of the line; I also checked the line coming from the tank and I have plenty of flow. I am thinking the fuel pump; what is your opinion? I disassembled the pump and it was clean but the clear plastic pieces seem a little out of shape.

G2 (round) fuel pumps had a problem with "crud" collecting on the outer cover, where the pulsar line attatched. Take off the fuel pump, mark the outer case (for realighnment) and take the 6 screws. Pull the cover off, Any white "chalky" looking stuff? Replace the cover with the new one that has a "green" coating on the inside. Show us some pic's of the process. Later Dave
