Default Rear end issue

I am getting noise from the rear end. I think my brakes are adjusted too tight, however if I jack up the rear of the cart and spin the passenger side tire while the cart is in gear, the driver's side rear tire spins in the opposite direction. I also put the cart in gear and pressed the accelerator. Both tires spin forward, but the driver's side was spinning slower than the passenger side. When I let off the accelerator, the driver's side tire starts spinning backward after slowing. Any suggestions? The cart is a 99 G16 gas.
Thanks
Troy

I don`t know about the noise but everything else sounds like a typical open differential to me.

I think they are talking about rear-end noise.

Oh, wait- are we supposed to be discussing a problem with a buggy?

The noise is a whining noise. I had the brakes adjusted a few weeks ago and it helped, but it has started again. Maybe need to replace the brake hardware?

Jack up the rear end of the buggy securely, start it up and see if you can isolate where the noise is coming from. Left side? Right side? Center(gearbox)? That will help us to guide you further.

Otherwise, try some Beano.

Does it make the same noise when you spin the rear wheels by hand or just when the engine is running? Will it do it in neutral?
