Um........ there is one way to make it work
You need to make a loop with the fuel line on the pressure side of the pump back to the tank. So that the pump is pushing fuel back to the tank constantly. Do this in a 1/4 inch line and tee off of it with an 1/8th line to feed the carb. This will reduce the pressure to next to nothing. Or get a fuel pressure regulator. Do you have a way to turn the pump on and off with the engine like a microswitch on the throttle? Or just get the right pump.... LOL

right now i have the pump hooked up to the head light switch. but i will just order a new pump. but so i can use it do you think a manuel pump off a lawn mower would work that sould be about the same psi

i tired wiring the pump to the gas pedal but it would shut the gas off too much so it ran like crap

I had to put a elect. pump on my ezgo 98 work great for around a week the one day had gas out of the 2 lines of the carb. so then I put on a regulator no trouble after that been on now for 2weeks

A new stock pump is $40-50 dollars, it uses no electricity, is designed for the machine and works well enough to support modifications to the motor and carb. You may find a used one and save in the long run. Just a thought....

at auto zone thik it was around $ 24.
