Re: 04 EZGO PDS Losing power
Had batteries tested. They are original but all are fine,no dead cells and holding good charge. Had a heavy duty solenoid installed and 4 gauge cables put in along with a new controller(400amp alltrax). Had EVERYTHING tested and no problems AND IT IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING! I lose power after about 10 minutes. Wait a minute, and get power back. Its driving me nuts. Im completely stumped at this point. Let me know if you find out what the problem is.

Re: 04 EZGO PDS Losing power
OK - How did you "test" the bateries? The alltrax will not have the thermal cutoff, as a stock control would have. Cables are an issue - you need 4 gauge. There may be an issue with the controllers programing?

Re: 04 EZGO PDS Losing power
I took it to an ezgo dealer who did a cell test on each battery. He also checked the solenoid and said that it was running a little hot and put in a heavy duty one that gave it a little more power.(He also checked the controller and it wasnt throwing any codes.Said it was fine. )That seemed to help the problem for a week or so but now it is doing the same thing.

Solenoids can and do get hot. Especially if your running batteries with alot of resistence. Controller is most likely fine - I still believe you have a battery and cable issue. |
