Grinding coming from clutch/trans area.
Just as it states. It happens intermitently (sp?) but it definately sounds like something is grinding. As a pre-emptive strike, I replaced the trans fluid that has probably been in there since the dawn of time. It came out dark but clean. With the new lube, it sounds not so bad but it is still grinding a bit back there.
Any ideas? |

Jack it up and spin 1 wheel at a time? Hopefully it is in a wheel and not the differential...

Re: Grinding coming from clutch/trans area.
Seems to be in the differential area. The one wheel didn't affect it. Sometimes you will hear it, others you won't. When I changed the trans oil I got no metal shavings or dirty dirty oil so I dunno.
