02' txt 36v cart runs slow up hills but fast everywhere else...help

Could it be the batteries or the controller? The cart runs extremely fast everywhere, but when you hit the slightest hill it slows down to the point that it won't pull 2 riders. Batteries after charge show 45.1 volts on pack.

that is an incorrect battery voltage unless you are checking your batt as soon as the charger cuts off. You need to let them sit for 30 minutes or so so the surface charge goes away.

how old are your batts? what brand are they? what size cables are on the cart?

They are 04 and 05 Trojan batteries......cart was a country club cart so I'm not too sure how well they were maintained. Not sure about cables.

It runs very fast on level and downhill.....just very slow almost to a stop going uphill.

45.1 reading was while hooked up to charger after fully charged
