silly solenoid question, old 36v 3 wheeler
ok, so i took this old 3 wheeler in on a trade. cart wasn't working and had 2 broken wires. replaced wires(it was just bad ends).
so i get it back together and it takes right off. forward and reverse are ok. then it quits. i have power to the big terminal towards the rear of the cart(direct from battery). when the pedal is pressed with key on and in either forward or reverse solenoid clicks, but i have no power out of the solenoid to the front of the cart(this side has the 2 wires that go to the accelerator switch) if i take a wire and jump the solenoid it will run. so I am thinking the solenoid is bad. is there a test that i am missing before i order one? what readings should i get across the smaller 2 terminals thanks for helping a newbie to these ez gos out! -Aaron |
