removing reverse beeping?
Let me start off by saying that I have never owned a golf cart but I did just purchase a 2003 EZ GO workhorse 800 electric. I love it so far but I do plan on using it hunting some and would like to remove the reverse beep.
I did a search here and saw where some folks disengaged a wire? behind the key thingamabob on the passenger side. For what it is worth, the beeping on my cart seems to be coming from somewhere under the seat or the bed.....I cannot tell exactly. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks in advance. |

Welcome to BGW
For what its worth....keep the F/R buzzer on there. Most put a peice of tape over the hole. It will quiet it down. |

Use one of those 'squeeze' ear plugs. It muffles the sound way down, yet still leaves a 'hint' of noise so you don't run someone over by accident...

Where is said hole? That dang beeping is so loud I really cant pinpoint where it is coming from. And how would I disable it if I wanted to? I do understand the safety factor for sure. |

Re: removing reverse beeping?
There is a microswitch probably on the F-R control that has very small wires. Disconnect one of them and see if that does what you want. On my '92 Marathon there were two switches together and it was one of them.
