Re: D and D motors
I recently replaced the stock motor on my '92 Marathon after adding 4ga power wires, a Alltrax AXE 4844 controller, a Delta Quiq 48 charger set for 42v and seven new batteries. It was still slow on hills on the golf course. I talked to the guys at D and D and they recommended their 170-01-01 motor. It is a torque mostly motor but added 3 mph to the speed. The cart now scoots up hills. I wasn't after speed just better hill climbing. The stock motor was 2 hp the 170-01-01 is 7.5 hp. Good guys to deal with and a good reputation. Also their motors are sold outright you do not have to exchange your old one.

Re: D and D motors
I purchased an Alltrax 4845 with an ES-52-56 motor for a TXT I was rebuilding, not high on speed but still had some, did pretty good on torque though. I worked with I believe Vic, it was a good setup, would recommend.

Re: D and D motors
Just put the 505 motor and DCX500 comtroller on mine and made a world of difference. Also put 4ga cables on it. Still 36v.

Re: D and D motors
I have only had my 4:1 torque motor for a couple weeks but so far it is all they said it would and some ! Got it in record time no hassels and customer service is great . Price was at the low end of the competition which also was a big plus for me. Noticible increase in weight compaired to my Raptor motor , however this might be normal from torque to speed motors.
