my dad is helping me with this mill job i was wondering were you grind on the key way on the crank or fly wheel side or the key its self ?

you just set it in the cranck shaft it an offset key it will set the pulley 4 degress hahead you can also move the pulser position it does the same thing & its free

Dont mill crank or flywheel start with a key wider than stock and mill down off set on each side to get the off set you need.

he just has to replace the timming key with plowmans 4 degree advanced one.

i called don at plowmmans he said it would not be benificail to mill the head and advance key with no carb boring or there (hot kit) as he explained so now my project is on hold i was thinking of boring the carb myself and intake but dont really know any advice on this stuff by chance thanks fellas

you can also offset the holes of the pulser hold down bracket so it can be moved aside to get your degree you need

I like de golf's idea, move pulser, maybe 2 degrees! May not get more rpm, but it will get there quicker!

ya thanks my dad is a machinist has been for 28 years i just need good info to really to him because he doesnt want me to come waiste his time trying to explain what i think i need to do he said he thinks the porting would only help if i run a biggger carb i think we can bore the stock one out i have an extra moter carb exaust every thing to build aqnother car evan a wiring harness so im going to tell him i need to cut 25 thousands off the head and he knows were to cut that surface he is really goood with snowmobile performance out board and stuff he just doesnt know much about golf carts never had an intrist but his boy does and i was wondering if they make an alumnium flywheel stock one seems pretty heavy how do i adjust the pulsar coil thanks again guys

Rotate the pulsar coil about the crank to advance, much like a distributor on a car. I was told you can do all that stuff but you don't get much.....without grinding a new cam to move the powerband up. That can be expensive unless you know someone with access to that type of equipment. Don't port too far you will go through the head.
