Am I hosed?
Finally got around to pulling my clutches for springs and machining but I'm not sure if something broke or came apart correctly. I've dealt with centrifugal clutches on an industrial basis so am hopefully just a little confused on clutches in this app.
I've removed the driven clutch in preparation for re-springing and machining and also pulled the drive clutch to replace the spring but it came apart as two halves. The outer half had to be pulled but the inner half remained on the shaft. The centrifugal clutches I'm used to came apart as a unit and then were disassembled into tow halves. Did I break something or is this normal? |

What answer are you looking for? Clutch is done, time for a new one.

Re: Am I hosed?
Huh... Welcome to BGW rollingon12s... that's a pretty abrupt final answer for not seeing it!
could it be possible that maybe the the retaining clip broke??? Do us all a favor and try to explain your answers in a little more (o.k.... ALOT more) detail in the future o.k.??? fe... normally it should come off the engine shaft as one peice, So, here's a pic that may help you figure out what happened! |

Re: Am I hosed?
Lockman appreciate the picture and input. I have been looking at it and nothing appeared broken and in looking at your diagram it seems that I am o.k. I'm going to print it out and study it further this weekend. In looking at it I think everything is as it should be. Thanks for the assistiance.
