Default 94 Metalist sparks when charger is plugged in

I started out with my cart not charging, tested the charger on anoher cart yesterday and it worked fine. Thought it might be a dirty cable so I pulled and cleaned each cable seperatly and tried again, nothing. started ohming everything and found my inline fuse to the charger was open so I took it out and everything looked fine. The problem is now when I try to pulg in the charger I have an arc welder. I ohmed across the charger and get 15Kohms and across the plug terminals I get 2.7Mohm. The cart still reads 36V across the batteries and it works fine just can't get it to charge. Any ideas what I can try next?

Did you remove/clean the cables from the pack going to the charge receptacle?

Sounds like a polarity issue? Does the charger still work on the other cart?

Wires have been cleaned, The charged did work on another cart but have not checked it recently. I pulled the batteries out and put them in another cart I just bought and they work fine. I have checked the wires and everything looks correct I can drive the cart around and the batteries will charge individualy. I am leaning toward the charger beeing the problem. I have had someone tell me it is the diode in the charge but I am not sure what they are talking about.
