Default 1994 club car gas

i just shorted out my ignition switch trying to install lights......... I checked fuse good. just makes a clicking noise at solinoid..... checked with test light one side is dimmer than the other and when you push gas light goes out and solinoid clicks...... did i short out the solinoid??
