Default EZGO not charging

My EZGO does not not charge. I replace the voltage regulator thinking it is a VR problem with the same results. Could it be a problem with the starter generator? Is there a diode that has to be replaced?

VJ, all I know about is the 80's series 2PG engine. Tell us what year you have and I am sure someone will be along to help.

make sure the green wire on the bottom of the starter/generator is hooked up. That is the charge trigger wire. From my experience if the starter/gen will crank teh engin it is fine.

My cart is a 1996 EZGO 350cc Workhorse. It runs perfect only that the battery is not being charged.

Yes, thatv green wire coming out of the starter gen is hooked up to another green wire coming out of the VR.

I just went thru a no charge problem with my Workhorse 350 and I was lucky I found it quick , it was the volt regulator that was bad for under $40 , you know that you have to get the RPM's up pretty high before it will show that it is charging ----- something to look at would be the ground under the solinoid cover , there is about 5 wires that all ground together to a bolt and one of those wires feeds the voltage regulator --------I installed a voltage meter in the dash , I like seeing it charge as I once got stuck way back in the woods and had to walk out and get a booster box
