Need Logisystems 480 to TXT schematic PLEASE
I have a used Logisystems 480 amp 48 volt controller I am installing into my series cart. The controller has 3 big lugs and 4 small blade connections for throttle, etc. The problem is that the little ones are unlabled and I cannot find a schematic anywhere. Even Logisystems website has been taken down. So I cannot find a number to even call them. If anyone has a schematic for this controller please pass it along.
Thanks, John |

Re: Need Logisystems 480 to TXT schematic PLEASE
this is the one supplied by scotty.the reason i say this is because i bought mine in 09 and it is wired different. it goes from top to bottom, red, orange, black, white. mine seems to be the oddball.

Re: Need Logisystems 480 to TXT schematic PLEASE
Thanks, I am still stuck with this thing but at least I know those wires are correct now. One more general question. If the Logisystems controller has the same leads such as B+ B-, M-, etc. wouldn't the connections remain the same as the stock controller? The reason I ask is because the diagram I am using is showing A1 and A2 reversed and S1 and S2 reversed as well. I have tried both ways an still no joy but just wanted to know. I will need to trace this thing I guess.

S1 & S2 have nothing to do with the controller. If it runs backward in forward, they need to be swapped. My control wire on this diagram are not in the order they attach, that should be front to back - RWBO.

Re: Need Logisystems 480 to TXT schematic PLEASE
That is how I have it. I want to find an answer but this controller is obviously bad. The stock one works, this one doesn't, and everything else is the same. That basically says it all. Now I have to decide where to go from here. I really don't think the guy sold me a bad one on purpose, but I may be out $180.00 unless I can get this one working. Truth is if I could open it I could probably fix it. I was an electronic tech until a few years ago. Problem is once I start butchering the epoxy there is no going back.

Re: Need Logisystems 480 to TXT schematic PLEASE
I got tired of sitting on my hands so I used a heat gun to soften the epoxy and ran a razor around the edges to seperate the epoxy from the leads. Then I popped out the foam epoxy cover as one piece and removed it. TYhe next step was removing the silicone sealant covering the screw heads and removed the screws. After that the who slides right out. I instantly seen the problem. There are two little resistors burnt on the control board of the low amperage circuit. The mosfets looked OK but who knows for sure. My biggest problem now is figured out what impedance those .03 resistors are so I can replace them. I can see half the bands on one and none on the other so I am kind of stuck at the moment. I could make a educated guess but if Logisystems would answer the phone they could tell me pretty easily. At least I have some answers now.
Does anyone wanna open one of these baby's up and take a look for me?? |

P.S. A knowledgeable person would have had no choice but to find a schematic like I did. If he found the wrong one at random like I did it would be the same result. Even if he had a stack of schematics he would have to grab the right one off the stack, like I said there were TWO ways to wire the same controller depending on what week they were selling them. A box with unmarked terminals and no schematic is a risky thing to hook up even if you are experienced, especially one that could be hooked up two ways. It's not like I can call Logisystems for advice or cross referrence serial numbers. I played the 48 volt lottery I guess, and lost this time. Also I asked you if you had any diagram of the pin outs and you said you did not beacue another guy removed it from the cart. Your next project would have been later on I guess and you would have needed the same info I did. If you HAD written the wire order down then you would have been able to give it to me right? LGS ITS EZGO controller.pdf Logisystems ITS EZGO SERIES.pdf Here are the two diagrams. The reverse and throttle wires get moved around. |
