Long Travel lifts - Heavy duty off-road
A-arm lifts - Medium duty off-road
Spindle lifts - light duty off-road/good for street
Z lifts - street

going up 6" to 8", your best bet is to go with an A-arm or better, depending on what your doing with your cart!

Hope this helps!

Spindle lifts are much easier to install because you are only putting on a new spindle, nothing else. Simply pull the wheel and hub, unbolt the spindle (unhook tie rod), replace with new drop spindle and reassemble. A spindle lift is only as strong as the spindle so take a good look at the kit you are going to buy. Personally having looked at kits when I was buying a lift I would only go with a Jakes kit for a spindle lift. They look to have the highest quality, and highest strength, spindles. That's just my opinion though.

An A-arm lift will essentially replace all of your front end suspension components (new upper and lower arms, new spring, new spindle). Since there is more to remove and replace the install is a bit more involved but still not all that difficult. An A-Arm lift will give you a lightly better ride than a spindle lift and, in my opinion at least, an A-arm lift looks cooler too :)

I recently lifted my '96 Club Car and after a lot of researching and thinking about it I went with an A-arm lift. I chose the Super Sport kit from All Sports which is a tubular A-arm setup. It was cake to install, looks great and I have no complaints at all so far.

tre is a differance between an a arm lift and the all sport supersport lifts. or double a arm or whatever jakes calls them. better than a regular a arm in my opinion.

what size engine and what size tires are you planning on running? In my opinion, fwiw, if you don't have a big block a 8 inch lift and large tires are asking for issues. you will deffinately notice a big power drop going up hills loaded with a stock engine.
