Default Battery fluid mystery !!!!!

Hi

I keep my 2010 CC 48V in a garage that slopes from the front to the back, back being the garage door.

Every month I check and fill all 6 batteries to make sure that they have enough
distilled water.

I never over fill them or at least l don't believe l do but the last time l filled my batteries l noticed a small stream ( dried up ) on the driver's side showing
A yellow cast. When l fill my batteries l try and fill them only up to the
start of the neck.

Today after filling the batteries l noticed another stream on the passenger
side again with a yellow cast dried up.
This time l noticed some water on the top of some of the batteries.

After l fill the batteries l will take it out for 30 minutes and then reattach it to
my charger.

What am l doing wrong or do l have a problem?

Thanks

Alan

How old is your charger? Does it automatically shutoff when your batteries are charged? If you are over charging your batteries thye can boil and start to leak.

Charge first, THEN and only then add distilled water. Keeps the batteries from boiling over.

The level goes up when you charge so you should not add water except after doing a full charge. (Unless the plates are showing) Lots of people run into this issue which is why the frame, battery rack and cables rot from acid spillage.
