Smile pete the track man

Hi all First time on BGW
I have a ez-go Gas powered cart. It is a 2003 model with a 295cc Robin engine.
I was just wondering if anyone had tried the water treatment to get rid of the carbon in the combustion chambers. I noticed that there was alot of burnt carbon on the spark plugs but I dont want to pull the engine appart.
any advise would be good

Should work some. Basic principles should apply down the line on engines. If there's that much black though, could mean rings are going?

Dont know what the compression should be but i thought that as both were the same carnt be far out.

160lb sounds plenty good to me compression wise. Give it a good fogging and change the plugs after. Give it a month and check plugs again. Could be valve guides if you keep getting crud.
