I cannot find the reducer in the photos, but it looks like you have it tapped at the 8v battery post, need to move it to the positive of the next battery in series. This assumes you have a 16-12 reducer.

If I am seeing what I think I am you are only feeding the reducer 8 volts and it is reducing that. The red wire on the pos of the main pack neg battery, is likely going to the reducer. That should be connected to the pos of the battery in front of it.

Hope I said that correctly.

Thank You All!! Followed you expert advice and am up and running correctly now!
I worked with the Space Shuttle for nearly 20 years and I thought it was complicated!!
Anyway, cannot adequately say how much I appreciate the help!

The problem was exactly what you suspected. When I installed the new batteries, I made myself a diagram of where everything went but evidently I did not follow it! I sincerely appreciate your help! It is fabulous to be able to receive such. If you ever need to know about the SR-71, U2, space suits, helmets, Astronauts or the Shuttle....I can help with that. However, I cannot offer anyone reliable help with Golf Carts! I have this one for camping as we drive it onto a 5th wheel but it mostly lives in the garage with its cover on it. Again thanks for being there to help me.

Good deal. No one can know about everything. That's why sites like this are so useful.
