215-50-12 tires (20") on 2010 Drive, what offset wheel?
Picked up a 2010 Drive and am planning on running 215-50-12 tires which are ~20" tall. I have heard some folks have rubbing while turning with certain offset wheels.
What would the perfect offset be for these tires? I have seen these tires on wheels with 0 offset, 20mm and 47mm offsets. |

Re: 215-50-12 tires (20") on 2010 Drive, what offset wheel?
I have 215/40-12 tires (18.5 inches tall) with no rubbing problems. The dealer supplied the wheels. I asked him today what the offset was and he told me "0" offset. I will have to take his word for that fact. Looking at my cart---I see that I would have no problem with tires that were 1.5 inches larger in diameter.
Hope this helps Dave |

Not rubbing while driving straight, rubbing when making full turns. There is a big difference between 18" and 20" when turning is concerned.
Appreciate the comment though, I will definitely take that as at least one vote for zero offset. |

Most 215/50-12 tires I came across when I was putting the cart together were 20.5 to 21 inches in diameter. That's why I went with 215/40-12's.

hey guys!
was curious how these low profile tires change the ride or performance of the golf cart. I would assume the low profile would be a much harder ride. Any feedback? |

I see I must learn patience in this section of BGW. Answers come quick in the ezgo section.

Not much action in Electric Yamaha section. Threads on Drives are almost non existent.

Re: 215-50-12 tires (20") on 2010 Drive, what offset wheel?
I dont know the offset, as i dont order the wheels. I do know that the ones we use can be forced to just-touch the front bumper at full-lock of the steering wheel. They never touch the floorboard. If the rubbing is a problem, we use the ydre seat armrest bolts (longer than bumper bolts, same threads) and some rubber washers to space the bumper about 3/4" forward, no more problems.
