The manual for my 2015 EZ-GO Express says to use 30wt motor oil in the rear axle?... hmmm.

I have seen different model year rxv manuals stating different types of fluids (for the same axle), it is whatever type of fluid they are in the mood for this year. All of these dana axles are essentially made of the same parts, so all these different lube specs are protecting the same gears (with the exception of a need for friction modifier for the limited-slip in some models).

All electric rxv, and any other with a limited slip (positraction) type carrier. If its not a rxv, and you didnt add a posi, its a safe bet you dont need friction modifier (but if friction modifier were present, it would not harm anything).

Is anyone aware of a tutorial out there on how to change the fluid? I have an 88 marathon and base on the condition the rest of the cart was in I would guess my cart badly needs some love. While I wait on wheels it might be a good time to replace that fluid, but I've never done it before.
