Looking good! What brand of rust converter did you use? I plan on doing the same thing once I get most of the paint and rust stripped off.

@SailTexax - I now have at least a partial '76 manual. I will try and get it scanned in and get a copy uploaded so you can have one. Not sure how much you need it but i bet it couldn't hurt!

awesome

I just used the Rust-Oleum "rust stop - converts rust to a paint-able surface", its the "automotive" one but they all seem to be the same stuff with a different label. Its not the best but its good enough for an old cart, $6 a can

i have a 88 someone in the past put a bench seat across the back. he said it came out of a bus. there are 2- 1/4 inch bolts on each side that will provide ample securement of a seat. i have stood on top of the seat taking pics at a bike rally. the fenders have plenty of support for my fat a.

Put the top coat on (under body black paint), glad I did because it is much tougher than the rust converter by itself. Looks a little better also.

Picking up 6 new trojan t875s after work today, and finishing the lights/wiring. Most wiring is done already just waiting on my voltage reducer and one lest relay to show up

Thanks! I think I did enough rust prevention that it should last another 10 or 15 years before anything else needs attention.

All parts have been ordered only thing I didn't upgrade is the motor - gonna run the stock one (cleaned up) for a while.

Also someone left a pair of 8" rims w/ decent tires on my driveway - kind of weird but hey free tires!

I have a 79 that the motor and rear end had been removed and all I got was the frame. I put the running gear from a 86 in it and it has been a good cart for using at tractor shows and such. It is still resistor and 36 volt.

3 wheels and 4 people, please, be careful.
