Ez Go Electric Steering piece broke and lift issues
I need some direction on how to fix the issue in the photos below... The steering on this cart was very loose prior to the shown piece breaking off, meaning I would turn the wheel a complete rotation before the wheels would react..i'm not sure how to tighten the steering wheel up or if that's even possible....just recently the rectangle piece broke off and as seen, the steering is not connected...I'm new to this gold cart experience so any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Re: Ez Go Electric Steering piece broke and lift issues
let me add that when this piece was bolted together is was very loose. then the bolt broke in half..i'm guessing from all the strain of turning the wheel.. the previous owner constructed the rectangle piece together and bolted it on..it is not factory
thanks |

here is what it should look like ... you may be able to buy just the spindle

Re: Ez Go Electric Steering piece broke and lift issues
if you use a spindle like the one in the picture that crashtest shows-most likely, you will need both sides...i recently tried mixing that type of spindle with one you have and i had a huge ackerman problem...the geometry is not compatible- so i would highly advise getting both spindles so you dont create that problem....good luck on your fix!

Yeah.....that "fix" looks like something my cousin Harry would have done. BTW, Harry lives up near Meadville Pa. I don't see him much. Maybe an average of once every 15 years. And that's more than enough to really question if he's actually a blood relative of mine.
