Re: 48 Volt Lithium Project
I have not seen those batteries. Can you give us some details of where you got them and what their Amp Hour rating is? Nice Cart!

Re: 48 Volt Lithium Project
They use a very different cell assembly than the Leaf packs you having been looking at....

Re: 48 Volt Lithium Project
Went to the DES webpage. Not a lot of info. How much did the battery packs cost? It appears from the webpage they have a built-in BMS. Is this the case.
Great looking setup. |

Re: 48 Volt Lithium Project
They are 90-100 Amp-Hour rated.
Yes, they have a built in BMS. In my opinion that is what makes it nice and why I liked the packs. There was only the positive and negative connection that I had to deal with. The Delta Q charger has a lithium algorithm programmed into it. They are built very solid and nothing moves inside the pack when you handle them. You would need to contact DES for the pricing since they are a Canadian company and the exchange plays apart in the pricing. The packs are built in Vancouver, B.C. Attached is a picture of the inside of one of the packs before the top was glued on. |

Re: 48 Volt Lithium Project
Way too many points of failure for me! Hundreds of connections. (Like Tesla)
