Does my 96 electric EZGO have a solenoid?
My 96 was running fine, stopped to load something and now nothing, no click anything, tested batteries they are all good. I figure either it's a switch in the peddle ( not sure what it looks like or where) or the solenoid, but a friend told me that mine doesn't have one?? It did this once before and after a day it miraculously start going and went for months.

Re: Does my 96 electric EZGO have a solenoid?
Jeanne, yes your cart has a solenoid.. What you have based on the serial number is a 96 medalist which should be a series drive cart. If you look under the seat on the passenger side there should be two black covers. The forward neutral reverse switch is under the front and the solenoid and controller are under the rear. Your no click action could have been caused by multiple things. There is a switch under the floor mat in a black box next to the gas pedal that could have stuck and not activated when it was pushed. Another cause could be a switch on the forward neutral reverse assembly that can fail. The list goes on but your issue worked it self out on its own. If it happens again let us know and we can dig deeper.

Re: Does my 96 electric EZGO have a solenoid?
Sorry for being impatient, no excuse other than trying to get this fixed for my elderly Mom. A friend came over with a meter and was testing everything and said that when he checked the solenoid it must have jolted it that it must have been stuck. Caart worked great after that for about an hour, now is stopped again. Maybe I should just get the new solenoid? And can I get any brand? I've seen a white on amazon for 19.98. The one in mine says W-R/RBM 70-120224-2 coil 36VDC so it must have been replaced before as the manual I found on line for my cart says its E-Z-GO 27855G01 Solenoid-36 Volt #124 Series? Thanks for any help... Sorry again for my impatience :(
