Batteries
Anybody have any experience with the AC Delco brand? I'm needing new batteries and they are about $20 cheaper than Interstate.

You know what they say about the low bidders. Go with Trojans the ones that set the standard.

Generally our cart gets light usage -- hay to horse, trash to the bins. But son and friends, when in high school, used to take on long rides to beach, with some heavy duty dirt riding. Those Trojans lasted eight years. The best.

Those AC Delco batteries appear to be 127ah. Trojans are 170ah. You get what you pay for. One of our salesmen used to say "The oats are a lot cheaper once they have been run through the horse."

If I was to buy new batteries for my cart today, I would probably go with Interstates, just based on past experience. I currently have Trojans, and have been pleased with them as well...

You can only compare cost if the AH ratings are similar. Get the higher AH rating batteries and they will last longer.

So if you determine an equality of amp hour ratings between two brands of batteries you just by Trojan because they are Trojan?

If your looking to save a few bucks look into Powertron batteries which are not as expensive as Trojan but very good in my opinion. I sell both brands and the Powertrons are about $100 less per set. I have not seen any good auto battery manufacturer put out a decent golf cart battery yet. And the specs are BS alot of time...they are not independently verified or regulated by anyone in the industry.
