I'm interested to hear your thoughts when you get it back and run it. Might have to go this route.

One thing to remember is that a stock motor re-manufactured for additional speed and/or torque is still in stock motor case and will have roughly the same heat dissipation characteristics as the stock motor originally had.

If you are going to be running excessively tall, low pressure tires through mud or sand or steep hills at low speeds while hauling/towing heavy loads, a motor with better heat dissipation characteristics would be advisable.

Bottom line is that the motor has to be compatible with the way the cart is set up and the way it will be used.

Just because a purple, or blue, or green, or orange, or red motor is the best thing since sliced bread in Ton, Dick or Harry's cart, doesn't mean it will work in your cart. Talk to the motor manufacturers and dealers and find out for sure what motors will work best in your specific cart, doing what you want it to do.

Thanks JB. We use our cart mostly at the beach campground. Really no hills. Looking at 6 inch lift with 22 inch tires. What tire can I get that isn't low pressure tires.

I'm not fond of raising the center of gravity of a short wheelbase, narrow tracked vehicle and 20" tires is all that will fit under a non-lifted cart, but 22" tires aren't excessively tall.

Ask the vendor what the max inflation pressure for the tire is. Ideally, above 20 PSI, but try to stay above 15PSI. Some of the tires whose max inflation pressure is less than 10 PSI are real amp hogs.
