Default cart age from engine serial # ?

New here. Looks like a lot of info, and I know I need to spend some time searching.

I just picked up an older club car gas cart. Has been repainted, needs some TLC, but runs ok. The cart serial tag is no where to be found. Looked under glove box area and on frame by battery.

Can I get a close age from the engine serial number?

Kawasaki FE290D - AS17 engine.

E/No = FE290D3204xx

Thanks in advance.

Ken

Welcome to BGW!

Unfortunately, that tag won't give you the year of the engine, or cart!
but, for starters, you have a Kawasaki FE290 engine, so that will get you to a 1992+ Club Car!
There a a few visible things that will help you come close with what approximate year cart you have,
the first thing would be the transaxle...

A 92 to 96 transaxle is a 2-part transmission, and differential. (I don't have a complete picture of it)

A 97 and up "unitized" transaxle looks like this...
