Default Trojan, Duracell, DEKA Batteries?

I just got a quote for "Trojan" Black Box T105 for $89.00, and the Red box for $140 each. Something tells me the Black Box aren't trojans. How do you think the Duracell SLIGC115 ($99 from batteries plus) would compare to the Red Box Trojan? I saw a post from last year that stated duracells are actually DEKA (East Penn) batteries. I am actually replacing DEKA batteries that lasted 9 years (10 this summer, still working). Here are the stats from the duracells:
Item Number: SLIGC115
Brand: Duracell Ultra
Voltage: 6
Format: BCI Group GC2
Lead Acid Type: Deep Cycle
Battery Type: Basic
Capacity 20hr: 230AH
Chemistry: Lead Acid
Lead Acid Design: Flooded
Made in the USA: True
Maintenance Free: No
Product Category: Golf & Scrubber
Product Sub Category: Starting Lighting And Ignition
Terminal Type: DT, SAE/M8 Stud, SAE/M8 Threaded Post, WNT
Usage: RV
Warranty: 12 Month Full Replace, 0 Month Pro Rated
Weight: 64 lbs
$99 after order 10% discount online and pick up in local store.

I know this subject gets beaten to death but any replies are much appreciated!!

I think I would call around and check out other dealers. $140.00 is pretty high price. Here in Florida I paid $593.85 for 6 T105 Red Box OTD...

I'd keep searching for actual trojan t-105's. Should be $125 or less.

Yes the "Duracell" is built by deka battery and typically found at battery + stores and now at SAMs club.
I've never heard of a black colored Trojan battery.

I believe he is calling Powertron's black boxes. Trojan makes Powertrons.

Trojan makes "Black-Box" batteries that are sold under other labels.

The 6V is roughly equivalent to a T-605 (210AH)
The 8V is roughly equivalent to a T-8V (160AH)

Johnnie B, what batts do you use. Also, you run on 42 v correct? Kind of another thread but I am considering buying 7 - 6 volts and going to 42. I don't really want to use the bag well for another battery (4. I have the ALLTRAX DCX 400 amp and I need to put a new solenoid on anyhow. My only issue is trying to justify the cost of the charger (and of course xtra batt) when the original PW charger seems to do fine.

97 DCS 36 volts, 10 inch wheels, used primarily on the weekends (but hope to move permanently eventually), Go up and down hills regularly, will be adding rear seat, paved roads, grass and some gravel strecthes. Note, while a weekender place, the accusense trickle feature would probably come in handy in the winter, but not sure I want to leave plugged in all week (on a little timer now). I am just beginning the 10th year on DEKA (napa) batteries and we do use the cart pretty well when were there. I think the batts died once or twiece (after I put the DCX on) in that time frame. (sorry if off subject)

Got a quote for Red T-105 for $114, 225 amp hours 20 hr. rate, 62 lbs,

versus

Deka Duracell SLIGC115, 230 amp hours, 64 lbs, $98.

I was maybe going to call on US Battery US125XC, 242 amp hours, 67 lbs, I think there is a distributor near.

Thanks for all the help!!

I use seven Exide GC-145 batteries (6V 245AH) for a 42V battery pack. I went with Exide because I could get them locally.

Rim size doesn't matter, it is tire height that matters.

Your PW charger might not fully charge US Batteries.
