New Controller, Same Stock Power?
Just upgraded my series cart with an Alltrax SPM48400. I also have upgraded the battery wires to 2guage and my motor is a PlumQuick Bandit. I was hoping to have more torque and speed climbing hills. With the stock controller, up steep hills I got 8-9mph. With the new controller I get the same results. Kinda disappointed, after spending so much money for little to no results. My setup is 36v, and remaining cables are 6guage and still waiting on the new solenoid to come in. But still expected to see some better results. Any advice?

Re: New Controller, Same Stock Power?
I don't think a 36V setup is going to gain much from a new controller.

If you changed all that stuff, why didn't you go 42 or 48? In any case, I would expect you should be able to tell a difference. Maybe when you get the rest of the cables.

Re: New Controller, Same Stock Power?
Batteries are 6v 180ah and are a year old, all measure correct charge, which is why i havent gone to 48v yet. Tires are low profile street tires 18" tall with 12"rims. I have already programmed the controller for my cart. Maybe ill have more torque once i swap the stock cables and solenoid?

Re: New Controller, Same Stock Power?
Would the larger 225 ah battery give me more power, or just longer run time.

If you didn't change ALL the cables, then you can't count that as an upgrade yet. You still have a serious bottleneck in the current delivery system.

Re: New Controller, Same Stock Power?
My new 200 amp continuous 800 peek solenoid and the remaining 2 gauge wires for everything will be in sometime this next week. I will be posting an update on any performance differences then. Really hoping to see a major improvement in performance.
