Default 1997 TXT Series Cart Electrical Questions

Ok i have added a fuse panel with 12 available circuits. They are powered on at time key is switch to the on position. My question is the BLUE/GREEN wires that went to the original key switch, can these be wired into POS on fuse block for power when the key is turned on? I have been stumped on this one few days now. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes and no........ Electrically the path of supply can be used (if you don't mind that F&R neutral position = keyswitch off) but practically the wire supplying the keyswitch is not large enough for the task.

What are you trying to do? Maybe a relay could accomplish what you are trying to do? Or a key switched 12v reducer?

I have an after market key switch (barrel key ) switch with 14ga wiring, it appears to be relatively heavy duty switch. It is an ON/OFF switch that is meant to be utilized on harley davidsons. I am just trying to supply the blue and green wire the power they need. I am running a 48 volt system with separate 12v battery supping my fuse panel that is hot when key is switched in on position.

Anybody got any ideas for the green / blue wire connection in dash area?

What could you tap into to avoid the F&R=KS off problem that would still be switched off with the key? I'm working on a relay system for the radio and lights to be turned off with the key but I would be slightly annoying to have everything shut off when changing the direction.

Just tap into the green one. That is the switched color but it is for full pack voltage. But as Scotty said the wire isnt really size for much amperage.

Short of reconfiguring the entire wiring harness and its functions, nowhere in the OEM configuration will avoid this issue. At least, not that I can see.

I guess you could build a time delay relay. Then you could get a few seconds before everything shut down which should be enough time to move the lever.
