Re: Microswitch
Make sure you have a 36 volt coil solenoid. For example: If you have a 12 volt solenoid it would get warm and likely burn out the coil with 36 volts applied.

Re: Microswitch
So i tried some more things i was told to try and these are my results
1. I reinstalled the solenoid i was told was good by the cart shop and checked voltage by touching positive to yellow pin and negative to blue pin on solenoid resulting in over 36v. 2. Before with this same exact solenoid when i would turn on the key the solenoid would click but it wouldnt click again once i put it in f or r.....now the same solenoid once reinstalled does not click when key is turned on but does click when i put it in f or r...wierd!! 3. Cart seems to be going maybe a mile or two faster probably 5-6 mph |

Re: Microswitch
The solenoid should not click when you turn the key on until you put it in forward or reverse AND press the pedal. If it clicks when you turn key on you may have a misadjusted micro switch in the pedal box and a unsafe situation. If your solenoid clicks and you cant measure some continuity with a properly operating ohm meter something don't make sense. Solenoid must be ok if it clicks and cart runs at all. You got something else wrong too. You have some mighty good advice on previous posts.

I've seen PDS carts click on for a few seconds then drop back out after the key switch was turned on. Not sure if it's like a systems check or not, but I think the PDS carts do that. Maybe Johnnie or Scotty wool verify that. |
