Default 2002 ezgo pds speed slows after 5 seconds.

Hope I can get some help on this cart. This cart will run all day at slow speed. When you flip the run/tow switch to tow, then back to run, it will speed up great, but within 5 seconds, it slows to about 1/4 speed. I have new batteries & 38 pack volts. The previous owner replaced the motor, controller. I have replaced the controller and the solenoid as well. No change... I have been reading about the speed magnet, but am unsure if that is on this model. On the controller there isn't any plug wires attached to J2 or J5. I bought a speed "chip" for:help J2, no change. Is there a speed magnet that attached from J5 to the motor? I'm stuck as in am i missing a plug, or is the magnet under the floor mat ,, what? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY IDEAS.

Does the new motor and controller still use a speed sensor?

I'm wondering if it's a matching motor or controller for this application?

The cart is doing the same thing as it was with the original motor and controller, No change. Something is making the motor brake speed after 5 seconds. Something else. I have read something about a speed magnet under the floor mat.

I'm not an expert but I was thinking that the magnet needs to be on the motor for some type of revolution measurement?

It depends upon which controller he is asking about.
Can we know the make and model of the controller please?

The Curtis control monitors motor RPM. It will go into limp mode if it cannot read motor rpm. You may be missing the speed sensor or you may have the wrong motor. Can you ask the previous owner if he has the motor pigtail?
