Default Best motor upgrade for 2010 48v TXT

I've been receiving all types of advice on increasing speed...

Most say change out the controller and some say swap the stock motor. I've even heard changing the tires to 22 or 23" will help.

I'm looking to increase to speeds in the 20's without a massive loss of torque as we do have hills. Right now the cart is stock everything and has been "unlocked" but still only rolls at 13 on a good day with wind behind me.

Scotty B has been great with the thoughts on the controllers. I wish he had a package deal with the motor too.

What have other 48v TXTers found to be the best scenario? What type of aftermarket motors offer the best bang for the buck?

Thanks! Kat

Well - the XCT400TXT48 package will give you what you ask for.
30-35% torque increase & top speed around 22 mph
That is with stock motor and stock tires. Bigger tires = loss of torque more top speed.

For motors I have 2 options
B2 8hp 24 mph
and D2 10hp customers report 26 - 29 mph

I'm not seeing the 10HP motor only the 8.4HP on your site. Do you have a price you can inbox me combined with the best controller package for that motor. Thanks again! I'm just trying to make sure I make the best choices for an upgrade that will not only provide more speed but last long term.

I see - it's a misprint on the website. D2 motor is 10 hp high speed.

Email me at the website for a quote.
Include your shipping address for motors.
Thank you
