Ok, we need to find out in which circuit the problem is. The + or the -.

First, insert the red voltmeter probe into the white wire socket of the motor brake plug and put the black voltmeter probe on the battery pack negative terminal, turn keyswitch on and toggle the run/tow switch and see if you read pack voltage in tow mode.

Okay I got 46 volts brake to negative battery abs then 1.6 brake to positive battery

I them check battery pack again and it was below 48. All batteries above 12 beside one which was at 5.5 So I'm thinking this battery needs to be replaced

Yuppirs, good reason for the brake not to disengage. The negative side is switched by the controller, even in tow mode. The run/tow switch applies pack + to controller pin 13, which tells the controller to activate the motor brake FET, which takes controller pin 2 to pack -. This is why the key has to be on when using the run/tow switch to release the motor brake.

Can't diag very much at all on a Rxv with a battery sitting at 5v.

Sounds good. I'm in the hospital tonight, had a minor stroke today. I should be out tomorrow sometime if all goes well.

Hate to hear that. Hope your okay. I put new batteries on and did the brake motor plug. To the negative and to brake motor I got 50.5 but positive battery to brake motor I got 3.3
