Speed Switch Assembly Rebuild Issues
I had a previous thread going where I solved my solenoid issues. Much appreciated!
A short time later, one of the micro switches broke (#3). I bought a hand full and swapped them out. All was good for a little while. It started lurching again, and realized I wasn't getting all the clicks from the speed switch assembly. I took it apart again and realized the slide was pretty worn, original I bet. Bought another slide, and had enough spare switches I replaced everything in the box. Again only getting three micro switches to click when the pedal slide moves. There seems to be so much slop in that setup between the individual micro switch engagements, the installation of the bank into the box, then the slide. Even thou next to each other, they look identical, the new one is loose-er in the box. Is this a common issue? I'm very tempted to just buy a whole new box. I'm that frustrated after trying to do things the cheap-er way. |
