Battery Maintenance
I have a battery pack that is about 1 year in age.
I check the water levels often and fill if needed. I check the cables are not loose and clean the tops ever so often with baking soda mixture. Is it a good idea or necessary to remove cables and wire brush or clean the post ever so often? I have not noticed any issues but want to maintain the pack as best as possible. Anyone offer what they do for cleaning the batteries and keeping a peak condition? Thx Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Battery Maintenance
Keep them charged / water 1/4" to 1/2" above the plates,
& clean & dry I rinse off the tops with fresh water to keep them clean after spraying with soda water, then blow dry, weed blower works, vacuum blower, ....compressed air , but don't blow to close I coat the terminals & lugs with battery terminal protector spray helps prevent oxidation of the metal part charge after each use & if not in use once a month if possible Good to check pack & individual volts every so often to keep ahead of possible problems. |
