I recently purchased 1989 DS in equally nice condition. This cart came from Palm Springs where it was garage kept and dealer maintained. You could eat off the bottom of this cart. But alas - it had the original resistor coil drive system.
So I installed my newest V2 400a conversion kit

I added a kiddie switch using a 2 wire switch and it is one sweet ride. Plans are to swap the 2 wire switch to a 2 wire keyed lock for kiddie lockout
There are a few V1 kits available with 0-5k pot and mechanical pedal connection. After that we are moving on to the V2 conversion kits. V2 kits will be available 05-01-17

I thought i was advanced enough to complete this project but i am not. I cannot make sense of his instructions and while he was helpful through email, he did not have any pictures of what it should look like installed, or a true step by step. If i return it, i loose $120.00. So, can anyone here make a you tube video of a completed project so I can visualize what goes where, how it should look, what should connect to what etc...?

I cant even get past page 1.... :-(

It's not that difficult, I just did the C42 conversion kit to my '92 CC DS 36V and had no clue having never worked on a golf cart. The key is to focus on the one wiring diagram that matches your setup. The first step in all of this is to remove your current solenoid, the v-glide that connects to your pedal, and the coils. I can try to take a video later of what it is looking like. I am almost finished. I'm just waiting on adding a new F&R switch. I also purchased a new set of matching cables which made the install a breeze, they are numbered and match up to all your new solid state components. I simply took my time and did it all one step at a time, closely following the F&R wiring diagram Scotty pointed me to. I had to ask a couple of confirming questions via email to Scotty and he was super quick to reply. Between the support you will find on here and from others you will be able to do it.

I'm really bummed I missed the next gen. V kits by one month! Is this "fly by wire", is there still a POT that must be installed?

I removed the body to make it easier as I also replaced my motor. Did you remove all the original components that need to come out to make room for the throttle linkage and potentiometer? Using ScottyB's pic. from above post.

Be careful of where you place both potentiometer and the bell crank that they don't interfere with 3 areas. Where batteries will be near both pieces and that bell crank lever has enough room to go ahead without hitting body when put back on. Use clamps to determine best placement as he strongly suggests. Will look like picture attached. Don't mind my messy wiring as I'm not done so I haven't organized and tied it back yet.

Next step I did was to add two pieces of aluminum angle iron to build a platform to attach Alltrax controller. Wanted it above axle and high like ScottyB recommends. I then attached my solenoid to the frame on right side. See pic. Notice my shiny new 10hp Admiral motor. Waiting on my 36 to 12v converter, that will be installed next. I installed all the components first and saved wiring for last.
