Default RXV History and Resolution of problems

I am very confused about the status of the RXV's "problems". We have a local $$$$ dealer that refuses to buy TXT's and sells NOTHING BUT RXV's.

We have another dealer who will not buy or even touch RXV's with a 10' pole. She says there are lawsuits over the defective brake and speed controller.

Someone else told me the problems were only with the 07-10 models.

Can someone tell me about or point me to a thread that discusses the nature, extent, and history and status of the RXV problems.

Thanks

The better Rxv is the 2012.5 & newer model. Early Rxv had a different brake & solenoid that had some problems (those parts have been gone for years). Wire harness is susceptible to corrosion if you don't keep it clean. The motor brake (essentially a Parking brake only) has had some issues. Haven't heard about "all these lawsuits", but hey, makes a good story when that's the vehicle you Don't sell.

That is a good point. She said the EZGO rep told her that. But to be fair, she COULD sell the RXV if she wanted, she just said he had too many problems when she did in the past

If I were a guy who only liked & knew about working on older style carts, I would dislike working on the rxv too. It's difficult to deal with it you don't have any info on what it does & how it works (because it's a huge departure from the ideas used in the past). Also, for any of the trickier intermittent problems , you pretty much have to have a handheld programmer/diagnostic tool.
