DS DeLux Light Kit @16v
I just installed a 12v DeLux LED kit on my DX Carryall. I was told that I should run it at 16v (2 of the eight 8v) and that the extra 4v would offer no problems. True? Thanks,

I don't know if it will harm the lights but it will harm your battery pack. Research voltage reducers in here. You will learn a lot about them and why they are necessary.
Hope this helps. |

Worst thing you can do to your batteries is to tag off of just one or two .

I've heard of LEDs that are fine running off of 16 Volts. While Swan makes a valid point, your LED lights draw very minimal amperage. I don't think you'll have a problem running LED lights from two batteries. If they were halogens, I'd say otherwise, but LED lights have such a minimal draw it shouldn't hurt your batteries.
