Is the cart electric?
Where are speaker and power wired though? Are they close to the controller or high amp cable?

Do you hear the same static on AM, FM, CD, phone or other audio source?

Did you run separate power and ground from your battery to your radio?

The cart frame is not (and should not be) grounded to your 12v. So if you just ran power and used a frame ground that would be a problem.

I will check the ground cable and the antenna cable on the radio and make sure they are a closed loop to the 12v battery. And not tied to the chassis or anything else.

Also yurtle question is important
