Club Car Precedent not getting power to drive motor

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and new to electric Club Cars as well. I purchased a used Club Car Precedent in unknown condition, with no batteries. I purchased batteries and installed them, only to find that the car doesn't move. I'm getting no power to the drive motor, nor am I getting power across the solenoid. In fact, I'm not getting any control voltage to the solenoid. I hate to ask the newbie question, but unfortunately that's what I am, so here goes:

Where do I start troubleshooting? I've looked at the wiring diagram, but I don't know if the 'chicken or the egg' comes first. So I thought I would post here and see if y'all could help me out.

I'm getting 48 volts across the batteries and power to the on/off switch, but after that I'm getting nothing. Not at the solenoid, motor or forward/reverse switch.

Ideas??

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

is the run / tow switch in run ?
yea i've done that
check if all wires are tight in the battery pack
done that too
make sure all wires are in the right place

what year is the cart ?
12v batteries on 8v batteries ?
do you hear the solenoid "click" ?

In addition to what CTD said, start at the beginning.

Pack voltage at both sides of the Tow/Run switch?
Do you get pack voltage on blue/white wire at solenoid when key on?
Do you get pack voltage on blue wire at solenoid when pedal depressed?
Do you get buzzer in reverse?
Do any results above change depending on FNR switch position?

The run/tow switch is in run mode. Battery terminal connections are tight and all cables are new.

I will check everything in the order that you listed and post back.

No voltage at either side of the tow/run switch. Well, there is about 1 volt until I turn the key on, then it drops to about .8 volts.
No power on either side of the solenoid, not even to the control side of the solenoid and of course I do not hear the solenoid engage.

Serial # is PH0845-978901
The key is missing, so I'm using an on/off switch. Upon checking the wiring diagram, the original switch was hooked to a red and blk/ylw wire set instead of the blue & green which the wiring diagram indicates. I rearranged the wiring, but still not voltage.

I'm not certain if this model takes 12 volt or 8 volt batteries, but I installed 6 8 volt batteries and I'm getting 48-50 volts across the battery pack.

I'm typically pretty decent with electrical stuff, but this thing has me stumped

there is a 15amp fuse at run/tow switch
make sure red wire off of main battery pack positive is to the solenoid

WooHoo! We have success!!
Once I changed the the wiring on the key switch as mentioned in the earlier post (it was hooked to the wrong wires per the diagram), I had forgotten to put the mode back in run mode. Once I switched it to run mode, it operated just fine.

I'm not certain why or who put the wrong wires on the key switch, but once they I changed them over to the green & blue, she operated just fine.

Out of curiosity, what is the red and blk/yel wires for? There's nothing else in the dash that they could be hooked to. Maybe they're for an option that this model doesn't have.
